Community Service

Michael has been a volunteer firefighter for more than 25 years, giving his time to protect life and property of the people in his community.

As a volunteer firefighter, Mike is regularly on-duty at the fire station and always on call – 24 hours each day, seven days each week, even when at home – but he would tell you that this level of commitment is simply part of being a volunteer firefighter.

In addition to his duties as a firefighter, Mike is currently the Assistant Chief of the Purcellville Volunteer Fire Department, which makes him responsible for the well being of over 100 volunteer members. His other duties at the Fire Department include being a Line Officer and a Crew Leader. Outside of the Fire Department, Mike also serves on the Board Of Directors for the Purcellville Volunteer Safety Center.

Safety awareness, asset protection and enthusiasm for helping his community are themes that run through Mike’s life. His 25-years as a first responder is a testament to his civic-mindedness and concern for people. We also think that this is probably why, for more then 20 years, so many people have put their trust in him as their Life/Health Insurance adviser.
